We all have tendencies to stray off the path in whatever form. Some of us tend to work too much. Some of us tend to start drinking too much. Some of us tend to start feeling (letting your emotions rule your life) too much. Some of us tend to procrastinate and get lazy. Some of us tend to distance ourselves from the relationships that matter. Some of us tend to eat too much. Some of us tend to stop taking care of ourselves. Some of us tend to avoid our responsibilities. Some of us tend to prioritize the wrong people and things.
Whatever your tendency is – when you get out of balance – it’s nice to have someone in your life that can remind you what’s important.
We all lose perspective at times, and sometimes our internal regulator isn’t strong enough (or we are too out of tune with it) to notify us we are veering off the train track and need to get back on the rails before it’s too late.
Keep the people who help you maintain perspective in life close because we will lose perspective in life at times.
