Sift through the bad and retain the good
Here’s the thing, even people who criticize us can add value to our lives. Though I didn’t agree with everything they recommended, I was able to agree with some of their suggestions. But I had to keep my heart open and receptive, so I could still hear them after they criticized me.
We have an unhealthy tendency to write people off when they ridicule us, but sometimes there is truth and value in others’ criticism or non-criticisms.
Learn how to sift through people’s words to find the good and eradicate the bad. There are often times when people’s criticism derives from ignorance. It’s easier on your mental health to sift through people’s words instead of taking them personally.
