Keep your article short if you genuinely feel like it doesn’t need to be a long one. Not everything you write needs to be motivated by data and revenue.
Sometimes, our audiences prefer we get straight to the point. I have a distaste for when authors take a whole chapter or book to get to the meat. Don’t throw a whole bunch of potatoes at me for extended amounts of time; my time is valuable!
Craft or Revenue?
You can go about writing in two ways: you can focus on your craft or focus on revenue. Many fall somewhere in between. It’s okay to focus on revenue, but the revenue always finds its way to you when you put your audience first.
