it safe to say that we are born morally good but inclined toward selfish desires and morally less decision-making?
People are generally born with some moral compass – everyone’s moral compass’ might differ, but people generally know what is good and bad to some degree.
But then again, who defines what is good, and who defines what is bad?
The whole topic of morality can be labeled convoluted because morality is ultimately subjective. If one believes a bad action is good, who are you to tell them it is wrong?
A perfect example of this:
Many “laws” have been morally deficient, such as prejudicial or racially discriminatory laws, but groups of people believed these laws were justified morally, politically, or socially.
