Your 1–12 month plan
Let’s say you desire to earn six figures (a worthy goal that can help create financial flexibility and freedom for yourself); how do you intend to do this?
Write out the steps, and create 30-day targets.
Month 1: Decide how much you intend to earn, how you will earn it, and what you will give in return. Write down a list of ideas you can experiment with to help you reach these goals.
Let’s say you decide to get a job in tech.
Confirm which job that will be, update your resume, and start applying.
Daily goal: Apply to 15 jobs daily to land a minimum of 1–3 interviews per week.
And continue setting different goals from each month forward. It shouldn’t take you one year to attain this job, but maybe it will. Continue to set ambitious goals each month to get there.
You may need to apply to 30 jobs per day instead. Try that in month two.
You may need to apply to 50 jobs if that doesn’t work. Try that in month three.
Maybe that still doesn’t work. Complete a course, and speak with someone who can review your resume.
Maybe this still doesn’t work. Set up weekly mock interviews so that you can practice.
Maybe this still doesn’t work. Set up daily mock interview practice with yourself (e.g., record yourself via video or audio) or others to nail down the interview process.
Maybe this doesn’t work, and you need to tweak your resume again. Set up a call or session with a resume specialist to review your resume and make the appropriate changes for three weeks until you notice results.
Maybe this still doesn’t work, and you need to change your mindset. Read a book on positive thinking to improve and shift your mindset during your job search.
Maybe that still doesn’t work, which I doubt it won’t. But maybe you need to start connecting with people and establishing your network to help you land your ideal role.
And keep going until you determine the right solution that will bring you the ideal results.

Every month should have a clear and strategic goal. You can also have more than one primary target.
Example: Month 3 Has 3 Targets
The Three Targets: Apply to 30 jobs, complete one mock interview, and study for the certification. These all fall into your daily goals and are each allocated 33% of your efforts.
