The dog analogy
Though we might not realize it, we eat other’s people sh*t all the time.
Whether we jump in and try to save a friend or family whenever they’re going through a rough time, listen to someone’s complaining, or take on other’s responsibilities unnecessarily, we’re eating other’s people sh*t.
After a while, we become sick, depressed, lethargic, and our bodies and mental state get out of whack because “we’ve acquired worms that mess up our insides,” just like dogs who continue eating sh*t.
Remedy: Implement boundaries and focus on your life. Help when you can, but don’t overdo it.
