Carve it out now before you’re forced to
When you consistently don’t take time for yourself, you’re setting yourself up to crash or explode at some point.
If you don’t know where to find time to invest in your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, start simple.
Go to a quiet room (by yourself) and meditate for 1–5 minutes.
Take a short walk and listen to some good music.
Listen to your favorite dance song and get down.
Put your phone in do not disturb-mode for the day.
Take a break from tv and social media.
Schedule a 15 to 30-minute massage.
Carve out time to work out.
Stretch for one minute.
The goal is to do something.
Something is always better than nothing and will always produce better results.
Many finally take time for themselves when they get fired from a job, get stuck on bed rest, or experience severe and debilitating health issues.
Don’t wait to take care of yourself when you’re forced to; instead, consistently take care of yourself daily – even if only for a few minutes.
