Break the habit of being yourself
Predictability is boring.
Living a mundane lifestyle day in and day out is boring.
Giving up the things you love is boring.
How many of your days are spent doing what you love?
What are some activities you love doing that you no longer do?
As time goes by, we start giving up parts of ourselves because of the obligations we accumulate over time, or we simply lose our zest for life.
We can also act arrogantly as if we know what tomorrow will bring…
“Someday, I will take that vacation.”
“Someday, I will learn that language.”
“Someday, I will make new friends.”
“Someday, I will go dancing again.”
“Someday, I will see my favorite sports team live.”
“Someday, I will get out of the house again.”
“Someday, I will pick up that hobby I gave up.”
Someday may never come, but you have right now.
Just say “yes” and stop putting your life on hold for some arbitrary deadline.
Break up your routine for a change. You won’t regret it.
