Question your goals and the intended destination periodically
The more strategically and intentionally we map out our goals, the more likely we are to reach our intended destinations – the right ones.
But sometimes, we don’t question our goals and intended destination enough.
Where are you headed, and why do you want to go there?
Are the goals you set for yourself going to take you to the correct destination?
It’s easy to think our goals will project us toward our intended destination, but sometimes, if you look more carefully, you’re not making much progress, and if you are, it’s in the wrong kind of progress.
There are a lot of goals I’ve felt uncomfortable about, not because they were difficult, but because they had no clear purpose or the result (destination) of them would not provide much value.
What do I do when this happens?
I pivot and reframe my goals to ensure my destination is the right one.
Having a goal isn’t good enough. You must have the right goals.
Key Message: Question your goals and the destinations they’re leading you to. Sometimes, we don’t question our goals enough, leading us to the wrong destinations without much fulfillment and a lot of waster effort.
