White people can work in these positions, too
It’s almost as if I forgot that a white person could work in such a position, but they can and do.
Hospitality work has been labeled as one of the lowliest positions to work in, in addition to the fast food industry.
Some also consider janitorial jobs lowly.
But the truth is, no job is lowlier than another.
All jobs and careers are merely what they are.
There are no such things as superior callings.
I’m thankful I got to experience seeing the most esteemed race in a position society has labeled “lowly;” it was another reminder that we are all equal, and anyone can work in any position without negative judgment.
